In these times of such dramatic consequences from human intervention, I seek to escape to alternative realities where life blooms and blossoms in a new directions, at its own speed”.

“Five abstract table settings, where the main plate is like a stage for the food performance that the chef is creating. I wanted to represent the acrobatics of chef creativity on the plate, with each image representing a different part of the menu (anti-pasta, seafood, deserts, etc.). Meanwhile, it resembles a stylized restaurant environment with other table elements around”.

What’s You Favorite
Work Of Art?

It’s difficult to pick one, BUT I’d love to mention a museum, which for me is a piece of art.

It’s Insel Hombroich, a museum built in nature with the purpose of exhibiting a diverse artwork collection of Karl Heinrich Müller (Yves Klein, Henri Matisse, Paul Cézanne, Gustav Klimt, Rembrandt, etc.).

The whole experience is beautiful—to walk through the minimalist garden from one pavilion to another, and each one is designed to experience a specific piece of art.

There are also several walk-in sculptures, no artificial lighting used in the pavilions, no signs or labels, just a pure dialogue with landscape and art.

What’s The Last Thing That You Really Liked In Latvia?

Contemporary dance performance “Distance Between Us” by Jana Jacuka, performed together with Marģers Vanags. It took place in our (me and Diana Payton) studio, PER FORM, on a warm and rainy summer day. That was the perfect sound effect for this sight-specific performance.
