Wound (ed) Beads 2023

“Drawing from my deep fascination with the intersection of art and fashion, “Wounded Beads” delved into the historical and symbolic significance of glass beads. For centuries, these adornments have woven tales of exchange, connecting people across generations and cultures. For this project, I learned how to make glass beads and compose them into rosaries. Each bead showcasing flecks of specific shades of red, evoking powerful associations with blood or wounds.

Waternet 2022

”During a residency at Totaldobze Art Center in Riga, Margate-based artist Rebecca Korn and I collaborated for the first time in-situ. We explored a semi-dried fire pond situated in front of the residency building. Our gentle intervention into the pond featured soap casts of our shoulders, creating references to glistening oyster shells and shoulder pads—iconic elements of 1980s female power dressing. Embedded with tiny solar panels, they harnessed energy from the sun.
