Architectural heritage
Complex of two buildings, originally designed by renowned engineer Aksels Kārlis Durbahs and completed in 1939 in the neoclassical style, the building has now been carefully reconstructed to preserve its historical value while integrating contemporary design solutions.

The main façade has retained its original classical elements, a rarity among central Riga buildings. The addition of a seventh floor in the late 20th century further enhanced its architectural significance.
The project consists of two buildings, one with six floors and the other with seven, forming a harmonious residential complex with a private courtyard. This exclusive green oasis provides a tranquil retreat in the city center, offering both comfort and privacy.
Interior Design
The interiors of Colonel’s House are designed with meticulous attention to detail, emphasizing the historical character of the building. The staircases are finished in warm and sophisticated tones, with deep burgundy and terracotta shades adding depth and expression. The elevator design seamlessly integrates into the overall aesthetic, featuring noble wooden panels, a plush crimson-red carpet, and elegant lighting that exudes luxury. The use of travertine and wood in the finishes further enhances the seamless blend of classical and contemporary elements.


Layouts and Amenities
Colonel’s House offers a variety of apartment layouts, ranging from compact one-bedroom residences to spacious penthouses with panoramic city views. The architectural concept was created by Dita Lapiņa, architect at SIA “LDU” Research and Design Office “KROKS”. Interior design and visual identity by KOMARE STUDIOS complete the project’s refined character.
