Address: Ganību dambis 11 & 11A
The part of Riga that is now considered the Quiet Centre (Klusais Centrs) was actively developed in the early twentieth century. Nowadays, this part of the city offers the most diverse scenarios for urban life: there are historical buildings, parks, bars and restaurants—and housing, including new housing. The Fjordi (“Fjords”) residential complex is part of the new development of the Pacific Centre.
Layouts and Amenities
The complex consists of three six-storey residential buildings with about one hundred and fifty flats. The total area of the project is 11,800 m². Flat sizes range from 49 m² to 88 m².
Even the smallest apartments have two bedrooms. Each flat is equipped with a balcony and a storage room for storing seasonal equipment, prams and other items.
The flats are sold with finishing and fitted kitchens. The first buyers received a parking space together with the flat—the complex has a surface car park.
Infrastructure
Ganību dambis street is conveniently located both in relation to the city’s attractions and the Old Town, and to the airport—Fjordi residents can get in different directions by car, public transport or on foot.
Between the houses there is a landscaped area with playgrounds and sports grounds for children and adults, as well as walking and picnic areas.
Energy Efficiency
The complex is positioned as a project with balanced environmental solutions, but the details are not given on the website. It is known that the flats use underfloor heating instead of radiators, as well as a ventilation system with recuperation, which ensures round-the-clock air circulation.
Prices
The flats started at €2,542 euros per square metre and the price of a parking space was €7,000. All the flats are now sold out.
Project Team
The developer of the project is Bonava Latvija, a local subdivision of a Swedish company that is actively engaged in the development of Riga’s Quiet Centre.
