A former ambulance base territory, it was left alone to rot for years until only recently, in 2018 a group of enthusiastic people from “Free Riga” decided upon bringing this area back to life. At first these premises were used mainly for art exhibitions but as the popularity grew, more and more local businesses started finding themselves at home here.

On the first floor you’ll be greeted by a bar with a couple of tables and a dancing area, hosting various events from concerts to rave parties. Second floor is decorated in vintage style, offering a fully functional vinyl player and old consoles by some of the tables. They often host open mic comedy, poetry reading events and concerts here as well.

What used to be a sort of an underground, student place in the old town for eating cheap dumplings and drinking even cheaper beer has now evolved into the biggest franchise of this industry. Prices have gone up since the early days but good news – so has the quality.
