VASTINT LATVIA OPENS NEW RENTAL BUILDING IN RĪGA QUIET CENTRE

Vastint Latvia has commissioned a new rental apartment building at Strēlnieku iela 4C as part of the third phase of Magdelēnas kvartāls. The building offers 57 fully equipped apartments, a private courtyard garden, and 155 m² of ground-floor commercial space.

RĪGA GREEN LANE SPEEDS UP PERMITS FOR 290 CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

Over five years, Rīgas Pilsētas attīstības departaments applied the “zaļais koridors” principle to 290+ major projects. The scheme provides accelerated reviews, dedicated managers, and 14-day permits. Top users include Rīga Waterfront, Bonava Latvija, Merks, YIT, and Vastint.

SMART TRAFFIC SYSTEM CUTS RED-LIGHT VIOLATIONS BY 66%

The LMT Group’s smart transport monitoring system reduced red-light violations in Rīga from 3,636 to 1,134. Detecting real-time violations like bus lane misuse, the system forwards data to police and CSDD. It currently operates across six Latvian cities and Graz, Austria.

The Garden Pearls for Everyone project launched a self-assessment tool for garden and park accessibility. Covering signage, navigation, and visitor experience, the questionnaire helps owners prioritize improvements. This resource is co-funded by the INTERREG Estonia–Latvia program.

DARNU GROUP BUILDS BALTICS’ LARGEST PORSCHE CENTRE IN VILNIUS

Darnu Group and Porsche Lietuva signed a contract for
a 5,700 m² Porsche centre on Ukmergės gatvė, Vilnius. Valued at €14 million, the “Destination Porsche” facility features
a showroom, service centre, and experience space. Completion is scheduled for late 2027.

PUBLIC INVITED TO SHAPE SALACAS IELEJA NATURE PARK PLAN

The Nature Conservation Agency’s 12-year plan for Salacas ieleja (2027–2039) holds public meetings on 22 April in Mazsalaca, 23 April in Staicele, and 24 April in Salacgrīva (and online). Part of LIFE IS SALACA, proposals are accepted via pasts@daba.gov.lv until 30 April.
