Layouts and Amenities   

The developer, Vastint, positions Business Garden Riga as an office campus that combines functional and eco-friendly solutions and forms a comfortable and inspiring working environment.

The first phase offers a wide range of office space from 300 m² to 1,500 m². After the second phase it will be possible to rent office space of up to 2,700 m².

Completely finished suspended ceilings at 2.75 m and raised floors allow the rooms to be quickly adapted to any requirements: the layouts are transformed to suit the tenants’ needs.

Already today, the campus has a private kindergarten and a restaurant. A fitness club, conference centre, co-working area, additional cafes and restaurants will appear during the implementation of the second stage of the campus. 

Residents of the Business Garden Riga office complex will have access to The Lounge, part of a future international network of meeting rooms available only to commercial tenants.

Infrastructure 

The location of the new Business Campus in Pierīga provides quick and easy access to the airport as well as to the historic centre of Riga: the campus is within walking distance of shopping and entertainment venues.

Located near one of Riga’s main avenues, Kārļa Ulmaņa gatve, the office campus also borders on Mārupe, a residential area with developing infrastructure, including transport, cafés, schools and sports facilities.

One of the features of the office campus is the landscaping. Sixty historic trees have been preserved and more than 160 new trees have been planted. And the area between the office buildings is divided into several functional areas: areas for recreation, public events and outdoor sports such as volleyball, basketball and table tennis.

In addition to underground and surface car parks that include charging points for electric cars (which will have a total capacity of more than 800 cars after the second phase is implemented), a mobility point has been created that offers rentals of sustainable means of transport—bicycles, scooters, etc.

Energy Efficiency

The buildings of the first stage of the campus received LEED Platinum certifications as the first in Latvia. 

This mark attests to the environmental friendliness and energy efficiency of the office buildings, which provide a healthy environment for tenants and significantly reduce operating costs.

Durable and environmentally friendly materials are planned to be used throughout the campus, benefiting the air quality in the offices. One of the most energy-intensive building systems is ventilation. In order for the Business Garden Riga buildings to comply with energy efficiency class A, a Freecooling system is planned to be implemented in the buildings of the second stage, which in summer cools the buildings with air cooled during the night.

The ventilation of the first stage is arranged as follows: Swegon COLIBRI diffusers are built into the ceiling to distribute the airflow evenly. There are also grilles in the ceiling to circulate cool air, which can be adjusted in four directions to create a comfortable climate.

The buildings also feature a system for heating control using Siemens thermostats: the room temperature can be adjusted within a few degrees.

Awards    

The first phase of the Business Garden Riga office campus won 1st place in the New Public Building category of the Latvian Construction Annual Award and 3rd place in the Latvian Building of the Year 2019 competition.
