LATVIJAS SAMARIEŠU APVIENĪBA OPENS FAMILY-STYLE CARE HOME IN BIŠUMUIŽA
On 4 June, Latvijas Samariešu apvienība opens Mājīgais aprūpes nams Bišumuiža at Ceraukstes iela in Rīga—the only such facility built in the city under the national programme. Three buildings provide 40 beds in a home-like setting near the city centre. Total construction costs reach €5.5 million.

BONAVA LATVIJA STARTS FINAL PHASE OF BLŪMENDĀLES MĀJAS IN ĶENGARAGS
A €6.6 million six-storey building with 70 apartments completes the Blūmendāles mājas quarter in Ķengarags. The final phase brings the total project to 256 apartments across four buildings for around 650 residents. Completion is planned for autumn 2027.

SKATEPARK AND ACTIVE RECREATION ZONE TAKES SHAPE IN BOLDERĀJA
A 300 m² concrete skatepark Jumis and a 150-metre bike track are under construction near Rīgas 33. vidusskola in Bolderāja, following two successful participatory budgeting proposals. The zone will also include seating, lighting, and bike racks. Both facilities are set to open this year.

RECONSTRUCTION WORKS CLOSES RIHARDA VĀGNERA IELA UNTIL DECEMBER
Vehicle traffic on Riharda Vāgnera iela is closed until 30 December due to the Wagner Theatre renovation. The €15 million project, which began in 2023, will continue through autumn 2027 to restore the historic façade and modernize the future concert hall.

A detailed plan is approved for the 2.7-ha Central Market site between Lastekodu, Keldrimäe, Mardi and Liivamäe streets.
