Traditional Christmas markets
Old Riga
29.11.2024.-02.01.2025.
As is the tradition every year, Doma Square is once again transforming into a captivating Christmas wonderland! Here, you can encounter Santa’s cheerful helpers and pay a visit to Santa’s charming house, send a heartfelt letter to Lapland, ensuring your most cherished gift wishes come true.
Or, delight your family by fulfilling their gift wishes with artisan-made candles, creative kits, decor, or other unique and traditional goods. Plus, get ready for some uplifting tunes, since there will be DJs playing on Fridays, choirs and music ensembles performing on Saturdays, and Sundays are for folk music! All of this with a cozy cup of mulled wine and a spread of more or less traditional Latvian delights is what makes the most iconic market in Riga.
Kalnciema kvartāls

Tallinas ielas kvartāls
Breaking free from the stereotype that Tallinas ielas kvartāls is just for Friday nights, the residential venues have curated a festive program featuring concerts, workshops, brunches, and more to help you elevate your Christmas experience.
Go to a concert, karaoke evening or celebrate the Winter Solstice with the folklore ensemble “Brichka”. In December 2024, the quarter offers 8 events.
Baltics largest 3-day Christmas fair

A large variety of wood and textile items, hand-crafted treasures, tasty treats, games, books, and much more. Pop Up Markets 2024
Ziema lakstos
Since November, Lakstos, which always delights with its decorated windows, has opened two POP UP shops in the very centre of the city – one in Berga Bazārs and the other in the heart of Old Riga on Kaļķu Street. Both shops offer a wide and varied assortment of Christmas tree decorations of all shapes, interior items and candle holders.
The shops are decorated so colourfully that even if you don’t need anything from Christmas decorations, it is worth going there to enjoy the festive atmosphere. And for those who love beautiful shots for social media, both shops have thoughtful spots for colourful festive pictures.
