The Pine

Eastnine plans to build the Baltic's first all-wooden office building on a site next to the Alojas Biroji building, which the company also owns.

Layouts and Amenities

The total area of the building is 15,800 m².

Once completed, The Pine is expected to operate in a climate-neutral mode, meaning it will not consume any resources for its maintenance, and become not only an environmentally neutral office, but also a building that is as comfortable as possible for everyone who works in it.

In the office building, open areas are designed outside and inside to arrange spaces for collaboration and create a comfortable social environment.

Protect the wooden frame of the building in conditions of high humidity can help not only special compounds and technologies for treating wood, but also the glass facade.

Energy Efficiency

The Pine is the first office building in the Baltics to receive dual certification for sustainability: a LEED platinum rating for the building itself and compliance with the WELL building standard, which addresses the well-being of people in the building.

In designing the building, the Eastnine team consulted with the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), conducted energy modeling, and conducted a building life-cycle assessment (LCA). These and other processes required for green building assessment and subsequent certification.

Project Team

The client of the project is the Swedish company Eastnine, whose portfolio mainly consists of modern and sustainable office buildings. The company designs and builds facilities in Vilnius, Riga and Poznan.

The architectural concept was developed by Arrow, a Danish firm.
