Viesturdārzs

The building of the first stage, closest to the park, accommodates 96 flats. In the building of the second stage are 167 flats. The third building has 87 flats.

Layouts and Amenities 

All flats are characterised by high quality construction works and modern layouts. A feeling of spaciousness, large windows, cupboard space, entrance area separated from the living area, wooden entrance doors. 

The flats available in Merks Viesturdārzs range from studios of less than 40 m² to four-room flats occupying two floors. Each flat has a balcony or terrace. The building is carefully soundproofed and uses silent lifts.

The faсade of the building is made of tinted three-layer concrete panels: the developer promises that it will remain unchanged even after 30 years.

Several green areas, children’s playgrounds, a park between the buildings of the second and third phases and an underground car park with a landscaped canopy will allow residents to enjoy car-free courtyards. The underground car park will have spaces for charging electric cars in addition to the standard spaces. 

Residents who bought flats in the third phase of construction will also have access to a roof terrace.

Infrastructure

The residential complex is located with Viesturdārzs Garden, the first public park in Riga, which was founded in 1721 at the border of the fortress city. Also within walking distance is Andrejsalā Island with restaurants, sports grounds and cultural spaces.

Energy Efficiency

The building uses a heat recovery system, which is the most energy-efficient solution for quality air exchange during room ventilation. It allows to regenerate up to 90 per cent of the waste heat energy and regulates the temperature in all rooms of the flat evenly and efficiently. The use of a heat recovery system can reduce energy consumption and heating costs.

Wide and tall triple-glazed wooden windows with aluminium overlays let in more daylight, which reduces energy consumption. The high quality windows also help to ensure the project is A-class energy efficient and reduce heating costs.

Prices

Flats in the second phase of the building are now available. A fully finished flat will cost between €211,000 and €690,000.

Project Team

The developer of the project is Merks Company, which has been in existence since 1997.   

The architecture of the complex was developed by RUUME arhitekti architectural bureau.

The completed first building was awarded several prizes in 2020 and 2021.

Latvian Architecture Award (2020) and the “Best Building of the Year” in Latvia (2020). 

Most Energy Efficient Building in Latvia (2021): 2nd place in the category “Most Energy Efficient Apartment Building. New building”.
