On Thursdays the bar in the lobby is known as “Riga Jazz Lounge”. Here from 8 till 10 in the evening you can listen to local and foreign jazz artists as well.
In addition to spiritual food, there is also real food: juicy steaks and burgers, delicious poke bowls.

M/Darbnīca is the most important place on the jazz map of Riga. Every month jam sessions are held in the cultural venue. For example, the Brooklyn Jazz took place from May to September 2024. This was a series of concerts dedicated to jazz legends: Joni Mitchell, Betty Carter, Billy Strayhorn and others. Representatives of the new jazz generation in Latvia took part in the event: Reinis Puriņš, Toms Mikāls, Paula Saija and other musicians.

What’s better: a hot cappuccino with fluffy pastries or the sound of a guitar? In KŪŪK you don’t have to choose—while you enjoy a drink, a beautiful view from the window and paintings by artist Elga Grinvalde, jazz musicians will play for you. All you have to do is relax in the cozy interior of the cafe: large sofas and tables or small tables with armchairs. There is room for a large company and for one person as well.

VEF Kultūras pils
VEF Kultūras pils has its own jazz club, which was founded in 2018. Then a series of jazz concerts with foreign and Latvian musicians began. Trio Vein from Switzerland, Gin Gas from Lithuania, Imperial Orpheon from France and musicians from other countries have performed at the club.

The Botanist
Concept of The Botanist is based on health and sustainability. There is an indoor garden where the restaurant grows fresh herbs. Therefore, while music will relieve stress, jazz lovers will be pleased with tasty and healthy food.
Various musicians come here. For example, the famous jazz musician, teacher and artist saxophonist Deniss Paškevičš. Concerts take place on fridays and throughout the weekend—follow the restaurant’s events on Facebook.

Kultūrbārs
A cozy cocktail bar that hosts concerts of various genres, including jazz, every Friday at 20:00. For example, on October 25 there was a concert of a jazz trio: Eduards Barris, Nils Valkiainens and Madara Dzene. The musicians performed experimental melodies.
On November 8, a jazz trio will also perform: Andrey Polovko, saxophonist, Sven Wilson, guitarist and Yuri Natsvlishvili, bassist. Tickets for this concert cost 10 euros.

Zvaigzne Cafe
Family cafe in the center of Riga. They serve delicious coffee and host great events. Here’s the proof: On September 6th there was a party to celebrate the end of the summer season. Jazz musicians took part in it: pianist Krists Saržants, trumpeter Kristiāns Kļava, guitarist Svens Vilsons and others.
Concerts are not held every week. If you want to listen to jazz and try special coffee, follow the cafe’s social networks.

Mazā Ģilde
An architectural monument, the Riga center of culture and folk art. The venue holds free jazz concerts. This year marked the 18th season of the “Jazz in the Old Town” concert series. From June 6 to August 29, every Thursday there were concerts of famous Latvian musicians in the garden of the Small Guild.

Jazz Room Fest
The project of Deniss Paškevičš and the recording studio Riga Room Agency is a festival of jazz electroacoustic free music in Riga. Musicians from all over the world come to the event.
The festival brought together sounds from different countries. Now is the time for the Portuguese musical genre—Fado. Fado is considered the music of the soul in Portugal. On October 18, concert guests were introduced to the genre by Ivars Hermanis, Ārija Ozola and Jolanta Gulbe-Paškeviča.
